All workshop equipment should be black or silver in colour. The equipment must either be painted these colours or retain its natural colour if it matches these colours, e.g. aluminium, steel, rubber or galvanised surfaces:


• Workbenches: Aluminium white with graphite black bench surface

• Toolboards: Aluminium white with graphite black tool-location markings.

• Tool cabinet: Aluminium white

• Other workshop equipment, e.g. workshop lifts:

Graphite black on horizontal surfaces

Aluminium white on vertical surfaces


The colours are specified in the NCS and RAL colour systems.
