Fuel pressure, check


1. Open the bonnet

2. Remove the engine protection cover.

Unscrew the lid on the oil filler connection

2x Unscrew

Screw on the lid on the oil filler connection

Warning: observe safety regulations and country-specific stipulations

3. Fit 83 94 744 Adapter, fuel pressure gauge and 83 93 860 Hose kit

Unscrew the test connector protective collar

on the fuel rail


4. Start the engine.

Bleed the fuel pressure tester

Read the fuel pressure on the pressure gauge - Normal value 380 kPa +/- 20 kPa (3.8 bar +/- 0.2 bar)

Morning: lower the fuel pressure with the fuel pressure tester

5. Switch off the engine

Connect any fuel that runs out in a suitable container

6. Remove the pressure measuring equipment

Screw the cap on the test connection

7. Fit the engine cover.

Unscrew the lid on the oil filler connection

2x Tighten bolt - Tightening torque 8 Nm

Screw on the lid on the oil filler connection
