To remove |
1. |
Remove the cylinder head. See

2. |
Remove the camshaft housing from the cylinder head.
|
3. |
Place the cylinder head in a vice.
|
4. |
Remove the hydraulic valve tappets.
|
5. |
Remove the thermostat with gasket.
|
6. |
Remove the coolant pump with gasket.
|
7. |
Remove the valve cone using a magnet.
|
8. |
Remove the upper valve shim, valve spring and extra valve shim (exhaust valve only).
|
9. |
Remove the valve seal with the assembled lower valve shim.
|
10. |
Remove the valve.
|
11. |
Repeat the procedure for the other valves.
|
To fit |
1. |
Clean the sealing surface from gasket residue.
|
2. |
Check that the valves show no signs of damage or that they can stick.
|
3. |
Fit the valves in their seats.
|
4. |
Fit the valve seals using the tool

|
5. |
Fit the lower shims (exhaust valve only).
|
6. |
Fit the valve springs and the upper shims.
|
7. |
Fit the valve cone using the tool
EN-46117 Fitting tool
.
Fit the coolant pump with gasket. Tightening torque 20 Nm (15 lbf ft). |
8. |
Fit the thermostat housing with gasket.
Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 lbf ft) |
9. |
Fit the hydraulic valve tappets.

10. |
Place the cylinder head in a vice.
|
11. |
Fit the camshaft housing.
|
