Remove the timing belt, see

Fit the right-hand engine mounting.
|
3. |
Fit the right-hand engine pad.
|
4. |
Raise the car.
|
5. |
Remove
32 025 007 Assembly fixture
from the compressor bracket.
|
6. |
Remove
83 96 145 Centering fixture, subframe - engine
.
|
7. |
Remove the oil sump
.
|
8. |
Remove the oil intake pipe.
|
9. |
Remove the belt pulley using
32 025 006 Holder, crankshaft
(a) in combination with
83 95 360 Holding tool, crankshaft pulley
(b).

10. |
Remove the oil pump sealing ring.
|
11. |
Remove the oil pump. Unscrew the stud from
32 025 009 Fixing tool, crankshaft
.

To fit |
1. |
Clean the threads and sealing surfaces.
|
2. |
Fit the oil pump with a new gasket. Use Loctite 242 on the M6x20 bolts. Screw in the stud for the
32 025 009 Fixing tool, crankshaft
.

3. |
Fit the oil pump seal using
32 025 014 Fitting tool, oil pump seal
.

4. |
Remove the belt pulley using
32 025 006 Holder, crankshaft
(a) in combination with
83 95 360 Holding tool, crankshaft pulley
(b).
Tightening torque, bolt 340 Nm (245 lbf ft)

5. |
Remove
32 025 006 Holder, crankshaft
and
83 95 360 Holding tool, crankshaft pulley
.

6. |
Fit the oil intake pipe.
|
7. |
Fit the oil sump
.
|
8. |
Raise the car.
|
9. |
Place
83 96 145 Centring fixture, subframe - engine
on the left of the front axle member.
|
10. |
Put both holders to the right of the front axle member.
|
11. |
Fit
83 96 145 Centring fixture, subframe - engine
.
|
12. |
Remove the bolt on the compressor bracket and fit
32 025 007 Assembly fixture
.
|
13. |
Adjust the supports:
|
• |
Gearbox side: Turn the spindles until the attachments are firmly against the guide pins.
|
• |
A/C compressor side: Insert the support pin firmly in the angle holder and tighten the nut.
|
14. |
Lower the car.
|
15. |
Remove the right-hand engine pad.
|
16. |
Remove the right-hand engine mounting.
|
17. |
Fit the timing belt, see
|
