SAAB 9-3 CV M04 - with engine B207
Petrol and Bio-Power, manual and automatic transmission.
BACKGROUND |
Customer complains of pulsating /vibration noise akin to a diesel engine at, idling and/or at low engine rpm.
CONDITIONS |
The noise is caused by pulsation in the fuel pipe, when the injection valves are opening/closing, and the fuel pipe vibrates against the body.
SYMPTOM DESCRIPTION |
Engine sounds "like a diesel"
ACTION |
Follow the fuel lines from the fuel tank to the fuel distribution pipe at the intake manifold and ensure that the fuel pipe does not contact the body along the routing.
If the fuel pipes touch the body, then the pipe must be detached and adjusted to ensure clearance between the fuel pipe and the body to avoid the noise issue.
