Note

If the car is equipped with a radio other than a genuine Saab radio, check that the customer has the radio code before commencing work.



1. Undo the cable for the battery's negative terminal.

2. Remove the Door trim, front .

3. Remove the Speaker, front door .

4. Remove the door harness.

Carefully mark all connectors before disconnecting them from their components.

Carefully remove the water barrier from the door (A).


Remove the inner cover (A) for the door mirror and uncouple the connection (B).


Dismantle the connection for the door mirror (C).

Unplug the connector between the door and the A-pillar (A).


Remove the connector from the door (B).

Dismantle the connection for the window lift (A).


Dismantle the connection for the door lock (B).

If the wiring harness is being re-used, remove the clips (C), x 8, carefully so that they can be re-used.


To fit


1. Fit the door harness (C).


Route the new wiring harness the same way as the old one and secure it in the same way.

Take care that all grommets are firmly sealed.

Plug in the connectors to the respective component. If in doubt, consult the wiring diagrams/component lists of the system in question.

Plug in the connector for the door lock (B).

Plug in the connector for the window lift (A).

Fit the connector for the door (B).


Plug in the connector between the door and the A-pillar (A).

Plug in the connector for the door mirror (C).


Connect the contact (B) to the inner cover for the door mirror and fit it (A).

Fit the water barrier to the door (A).


2. Fit the Speaker, front door.

3. Fit the Door trim, front .

4. Connect the negative cable of the battery.

5. Set the clock and program any radio code.

6. Cars with pinch protection: Carry out Programming the pinch protection .


Important

Fasten the wiring harness correctly so that there is no risk of it chafing or rattling.


Note

Spray all the connectors with "Kontakt 61" to prevent verdigris formation. Clean all the grounding points and coat them with Vaseline.
