Background |
Certain cars have no water shield fitted and this may allow water to enter the thrust bearing and cause corrosion.
Fault symptom |
Knocking noise while turning the steering wheel, or banging noise when driving on uneven roads.
Procedure |

Remove the
MacPherson strut

Disassemble the
MacPherson strut
.

3. |
Replace the thrust bearing (B).
|
4. |
Reassemble the
MacPherson strut
.

5. |
Fit the
MacPherson strut
.
