To remove


1. Remove the rear window.

2. Cut to the C-pillar. Use the spare part to get the correct measurement.


3. Cut the sill as illustrated.

4. Drill out the spot welds.

5. Drill out the spot welds at the bumper abutment.


6. Drill out the spot welds.


7. Tap out the side panel and pull it loose from the adhesive on the edge of the wheel housing. Straighten any deformed metal.

8. Adjust and straighten all the mounting surfaces.


To fit


1. Measure and cut the replacement panel to fit against the sill and C-pillar.

If necessary, drill holes for plug welding at the rear bumper abutment.

2. Grind clean the surfaces on the body and replacement panel that are to be welded.

3. Apply welding primer to the surfaces to be spot and plug welded. Use Teroson Zink Spray

4. Apply Teroson 6700 on the edge of the outer wheel housing.


5. Fit the replacement panel in place and secure with clamps.

6. Spot weld and where necessary plug weld the replacement panel as illustrated.


7. Spot weld and where necessary plug weld against the bumper abutment.


8. Attach the replacement panel with spot welds.


9. All-weld the joints at the C-pillar and sill.


10. Grind the welds.

11. Wash away surplus welding primer. Welding primer reduces the adhesion of paint, filler and sealant.

12. Apply primer to all bare metal surfaces.

13. Seal joints and seams with sealant.

14. Apply rust protector inside the side panel after painting. Use Terotex HV 400.
