Oil leakage when replacing a hydraulic cylinder
|
This bulletin advises on a supplement to the methods for replacing the hydraulic cylinders and it comes into immediate effect. The June edition of WIS will include the information.
Saab 9-3 (9440) CV
It has come to our attention that oil leakage may arise during replacement of the hood system's hydraulic cylinders. The reason for this is that the spare part's O-rings have not been removed which has resulted in two O-rings being fitted.
Symptom description
Oil leakage at hose connections.
Not affected.
When replacing a hydraulic cylinder, the following procedure must be carried out:
1.
|
Remove the spare part's O-rings using a blunt tool. Then fit the O-ring on the hydraulic line before the lines are refitted to the hydraulic cylinder. Only one O-ring shall be used.
