Motor, length adjustment, electrically operated seat (357a), CV
Motor, length adjustment, electrically operated seat (357a), CV |
Main task |
To adjust the legroom.
Type |
The DC motor which drives a screw in respective right and left seat rails, the screw is fixed on the seat chassis and the nut is fixed on the floor rail for respective sides.
Connecting seat with control module |
The motor is connected to the seat control module (357k) pin 60 and 64. The information on the required seat length adjustment comes from the switch (357) to the control module. The control module uses the information from the switch to supply power to and ground the motor. The outputs are pole-reversed to change the direction of rotation of the motor.
Connecting seat with relay unit |
During M05.5, the separate easy entry motor has been progressively discontinued and its function taken over by the length adjustment motor. Consequently, the control module is replaced with a relay unit.
The motor is connected to the relay unit pins 7 and 10. During normal length adjustment, the motor is powered from the switch (357) via the relay unit. For the Easy Entry function, the motor is powered from the relay unit. The polarity of the outputs are reversed to change the direction of the motor.
