Oil pump pressure regulating valve, removing and fitting

To remove


1. Open the bonnet

2. Remove the multi-belt

Tension the multi-belt tensioning device in the direction of the arrow - Use KM-913-A (2) or a 15 mm flex-head spanner.

Insert KM-6130 (1) or a 4.5mm drift.

Mark the direction of rotation


3. Pull off the compressor cable set connector (2)

Undo the compressor (1) and suspend it from a 83 95 212 Strap .

3x Unscrew (1)



4. Remove the fastening iron

3x Unscrew (1)

5. Remove the oil pump pressure regulating valve

Place a receptacle underneath

Undo the bolt (1)

Remove the spring, piston


6. Check the components

- Piston, spring, bolt

Instruction: Check to see if it sticks

7. Fit the oil pump pressure regulating valve

Instruction: change the sealing ring (4)

Put in the piston (2), the spring (3) - Moisten with engine oil

Tighten the bolt (5) - Tightening torque 50 Nm

8. Fit the fastening iron

3x Tighten bolt - Tightening torque 35 Nm

9. Put in the compressor

10. Fasten the compressor

3x Tighten bolt - Tightening torque 20 Nm

Connect the compressor cable set connector

11. Fit the multi-belt

Instruction: Observe the rotation direction and fitting position

Loosen the multi-belt tensioning device - Use KM-913-A or a 15 mm flex head spanner

Remove KM-6130 or 4.5 mm drift.


12. Fill with engine oil.

Note the prescribed engine oil volume

Start the engine and allow it to run until the oil pressure control display goes out.

Check the engine oil level and top up as necessary.
