Coolant temperature sensor

To remove
| 1. | 
        Open the bonnet
         | 
      |
| 2. | 
        Drain the coolant
         Place a receptacle underneath Open the drain screw (arrow)  
        
         | 
      |
| 3. | 
        Remove the top engine cover
         Unscrew the lid on the oil filler connection 2x Unscrew Screw on the lid on the oil filler connection  | 
      |
| 4. | 
        Remove the coolant hose at the top (3)
         from the thermostat housing  | 
      |
| 5. | 
        Remove the thermostat housing (4)
         Pull off the cable set connector (2) 2x Undo the bolt (arrows) Remove the throttle module preheating hose (1)  
        
         |

| 6. | 
        Clean the sealing surfaces.
         | 
      |
| 7. | 
        Remove the coolant temperature sensor
         | 
      |
To fit
| 1. | 
        Fit the coolant temperature sensor
         Change the sealing ring Tighten the coolant temperature sensor - Tightening torque 20 Nm  | 
      |
| 2. | 
        Fit the thermostat housing
         Change the seal Fit the throttle module preheating hose 2x Tighten bolt - Tightening torque 20 Nm Connect cable set connector  | 
      |
| 3. | 
        Fit the coolant hose at the top
         | 
      |
| 4. | 
        Close the coolant drain screw
         | 
      |
| 5. | 
        Fit the top engine cover
         Unscrew the lid on the oil filler connection 2x Tighten bolt - Tightening torque 8 Nm Screw on the lid on the oil filler connection  | 
      |
| 6. | 
        Fill with coolant
         Instruction: Fill and bleed the cooling system - See Cooling system, filling and bleeding Observe the prescribed amount of coolant  | 
      |
| 7. | 
        Close the bonnet
         | 
      |
