Camshaft position sensor, removing and fitting

To remove


1. Remove the engine protection cover.

2. Remove the top of the tooth belt cover - see Tooth belt cover top part, removing and fitting .

3. Take off the cable set connector for the camshaft position sensor (1) - expose the cable. Remove the camshaft position sensor (2) from the cylinder head.



To fit


1. Fit the camshaft sensor to the cylinder head - fit the bolts with locking compound (red) - tightening torque 8 Nm.

2. Put together the camshaft position sensor cable set connector - note the cable routing.

3. Fit the top of the tooth belt cover - see Tooth belt cover top part, removing and fitting .

4. Fit the engine cover.
