Charge regulator, replace, Z18XE

To remove

In the method described below, the generator has already been removed.


1. Remove the generator, see Generator, remove and install, Z18XE .

2. Remove the guard:


- Undo the bolts (1, 2)

- Pull off the guard

3. Remove the regulator:


- Undo the bolts (arrows)


To fit


1. Fit the regulator:

- Tighten the bolt

2. Fit the guard:

- Tighten the bolt

3. Fit the generator, see Generator, remove and install, Z18XE .

4. When changing, check battery, see Battery check and charge battery if necessary, see "Charging the battery".
