Radiator fan relay unit (706)

To remove


1. Remove the upper engine cover and insulation.


Important

Take care when releasing the locking mechanism on the connector so as not to damage the connector. Pull the halves straight apart to avoid bending the pins. For further information regarding connectors, refer to Connectors, handling and inspection .


2. Unplug the connector from the relay unit.

3. Unplug the connector from the radiator fans.


4. Free the fan wiring from the fastenings on the fan cowling.

5. Remove the screw that holds the relay unit to the fan cowling.

6. Remove the relay unit.


To fit


1. Fit the relay unit to the fan cowling and fit the screw.


2. Secure the wiring in its retainers in the fan cowling and plug in the connectors.

Important

Take care when plugging in the connector so as not to damage or press out the pins/sleeves in the connector. For further information regarding connectors, refer to Connectors, handling and inspection .


3. Plug in the relay unit connector.


4. Fit the insulation and upper engine cover.
