| Main purpose |
Determines the position of the car using GPS. Converts verbal pulses from the microphone to digital pulses. Both signals are converted to light pulses and sent over the O-bus.

The navigation unit contains a GPS receiver and a converter for converting verbal pulses to digital pulses. These in turn are converted into light pulses and sent over the O-bus. The navigation unit is SPS programmable.
