Wiring harness, boot lid, CV

To remove


1. Open the roof until the soft top protector is on the boot lid.

Important

Check that the soft top protector is fully down to avoid paintwork damage in the boot lid.



2. Remove the wiring harness from the cabin:


Unplug the connectors (A).

Remove the cable ties (B).

3. Fold down the soft top protector to its lowest position.

Important

Take care to avoid scratching the soft top protector on the hinges.



4. Open the boot lid with the key.

5. Remove the Boot lid trim .

6. Remove the wiring harness from the boot lid:

Unplug the connector (A) for the right-hand inner light cluster, the connector for the opening handle (B), remove the clip for the lock motor's connector (C), unplug the connector for the lock motor (D) and the connector for the high-level brake light (E).


Unplug the connector (F) for the left-hand inner light cluster.

Remove the clips (G) that hold the wiring harness to the boot lid.


Detach the rubber gaiter from the boot lid (H) and the body (I).

7. Thread the wiring harness out from the cabin to the luggage compartment.

8. Thread the wiring harness out from the luggage compartment through the hole where the rubber grommet was located.

9. Remove the wiring harness.


To fit


1. Fit the wiring harness to the boot lid:


Thread the wiring harness through the hole in the body and fit the rubber gaiter (I) to the body.

Thread the wiring harness for the boot lid through the hole and fit the rubber gaiter (H) in the boot lid.

Secure the wiring harness with clips (G).

Plug in the connectors for the right-hand inner light cluster (A), the opening handle (B) and the lock motor (D), and secure the lock motor connector with clips (C), plug in the connector for the high-level brake light (E) and the connector (F) for the left-hand inner light cluster.


2. Fit the Boot lid trim .

3. Manually fit the soft top protector on top of the boot lid.

Important

Take care to avoid scratching the soft top protector on the hinges.



4. Plug in and secure the wiring harness in the cabin:


Secure with cable ties (B) to the body.

Plug in the connectors (A).

5. Close the roof.
