If the car is equipped with a radio other than a genuine Saab radio, check that the customer has the radio code before commencing work. |

Undo the cable for the battery's negative terminal.

Remove the
Door trim, rear
.
|
3. |
Remove the door harness.
|
• |
Carefully remove the water barrier from the door. (A)
|
• |
Unplug the connector between the door and the B-pillar (A)
|
• |
Remove the connector from the door (B)
|
• |
Dismantle the connection for the window lift. (A)
|
• |
Undo the clip in the door lock that holds the rod from the opening handle (A).
|
• |
Remove the door lock's 3 screws (B).
|
• |
Move the door lock forward until the connector can be dismantled (C).
|
• |
If the wiring harness is being re-used, remove the clips (A), x 7, carefully so that they can be re-used.

To fit |
1. |
Fit the door harness (A).
|
• |
Route the new wiring harness the same way as the old one and secure it in the same way.
Take care that all grommets are firmly sealed. |
• |
Plug in the connectors to the respective component. If in doubt, consult the wiring diagrams/component lists of the system in question.

• |
Plug in the connector for the door lock (C).
|
• |
Fit the door lock. 3 screws (B).
|
• |
Fit the opening handle rod to the clip (A) in the door lock.
|
• |
Plug in the connector for the window lift (A).
|
• |
Fit the connector for the door (B).
|
• |
Plug in the connector between the door and the B-pillar (A).
|
• |
Fit the water barrier.
|
2. |
Fit the
Door trim, rear
.

3. |
Connect the negative cable of the battery.
|
4. |
Set the clock and program any radio code.
|

Fasten the wiring harness correctly so that there is no risk of it chafing or rattling. |

Note | ||
Spray all the connectors with "Kontakt 61" to prevent verdigris formation. Clean all the grounding points and coat them with Vaseline. |
