To remove |
1. |
Apply wing covers and remove the battery cover.
|
2. |
Undo the battery terminals.
|
3. |
Remove the battery.
|
4. |
Diesel:
Undo the holder for the control module and diesel components and move it out of the way. Undo the holder to the power steering fluid reservoir.
|
5. |
Unplug the bonnet switch.
|
6. |
Undo the cable clamp under the battery tray.
|
7. |
Remove the battery tray and the battery cooling pipe.
|
8. |
Connect
88 19 096 Bleeding equipment
hose to the bleed nipple on the slave cylinder and draw out the brake fluid from the clutch system.
|
9. |
Detach the hose from the slave cylinder connection.
|
10. |
Undo the delivery pipe clip and unplug the ABS control module connector.
|
11. |
Undo the ABS unit bracket. Carefully move the bracket out of the way without bending the connected pipes.
|
12. |
Undo the accumulator connection on the master cylinder and remove the pipe.

To fit |
1. |
Fit the delivery pipe and connect the accumulator to the master cylinder.
|
2. |
Fit the pipe to the clip and connect the pipe to the slave cylinder bleed and connecting pipe.
|
3. |
Fit the ABS unit bracket and plug in the ABS control module connector.
|
4. |
Fit the battery tray.
|
5. |
Diesel:
Fit the holder for the power steering fluid reservoir and the holder for the diesel components. Fit the cable clip.
|
6. |
Plug in the bonnet switch.
|
7. |
Fit the battery and connect the battery cables.
|
8. |
Fit the battery cooling channel and the protective cover.
|
9. |
Bleed the clutch as described in
Bleeding the clutch hydraulic system in the car
.

10. |
Test the clutch operation.
|
