Service
During production, the gearbox is filled with oil and requires no oil changes thereafter. Despite this, the gearbox has 3 plugs, one filler plug (1), one level plug (2) and one drain plug (3). The plugs are used for draining oil when working on the gearbox. Remove the level plug to check the oil level and top up with oil until it runs out of the level plug hole.
Note that the drain plug contains a magnet. When refitting, apply hydraulic sealant to the plugs. A "dry" gearbox holds 1.9 litres of oil.
