Power steering pipe, RHD

Important

Scrupulous cleanliness must always be observed during all work with hydraulic components.


Important

Always use wing covers when working in the engine bay.


To remove


1. Remove the power steering unit. See Power steering unit, Z19 .

2. Detach the power steering unit bracket from the steering gear and move aside.


3. Remove the bolt holding the pipe to the steering gear.

4. Remove the power steering pipes.


To fit


1. Fit the power steering pipes to the steering gear.

Note

Take care not to damage the sealing rings. The return hose must be pointing up.


Tightening torque 20 Nm (14.8 lbf ft)


2. Fit the bracket to the steering gear so that the wiring harness lies between it and the delivery pipe.

Tightening torque 20 Nm (14.8 lbf ft)

3. Fit the power steering unit. See Power steering unit, Z19 .
