| Background |
Water may enter the thrust bearing and cause corrosion.
A new, improved sealed thrust bearing has been produced. Water protection according to TSB 731-2643 edition 1 must not be mounted on the new thrust bearing.
In the case of customer complaint, the following procedure must be carried out.

Remove the MacPherson strut, in accordance with WIS - Suspension, wheels - Front suspension - Adjustment/Replacement.

Dismantle the MacPherson strut, in accordance with WIS - Suspension, wheels - Front suspension - Adjustment/Replacement.

| 3. |
Thrust bearing replacement.

Assemble the MacPherson strut, in accordance with WIS - Suspension, wheels - Front suspension - Adjustment/Replacement.

Fit the MacPherson strut, in accordance with WIS - Suspension, wheels - Front suspension - Adjustment/Replacement.
