Adjustment principles
Adjustment principles |
The aim of adjusting is to achieve a good fit between the soft top and the side windows, also to ensure that the soft top, sixth bow and the soft top cover all lock without malfunctions. Adjusting one component or function may affect another which has already been adjusted. The condition for successful adjustment work is that the work begins at a correctly adjusted point and that the work is systematic. The Saab 9-3 Convertible can be divided into three main areas of adjustment:
• |
Tailgate
|
• |
Soft top cover with associated latch.
|
• |
Soft top with associated locking.
|
After these areas have been adjusted, the windows and perhaps also the doors must also be adjusted.

A set procedure must be followed within the three areas of adjustment. This order is specified on the next page and each individual adjustment is described in detail on the following pages. |
