On-board diagnosis
Type of diagnosis:
| DTC generated when light comes on. |
Enable criteria:
| Each time courtesy lights are activated. |
Fault criteria:
| Control module output shorted to ground. |
System reaction to a fault:
| Control module output deactivated during this driving cycle. When the ignition is in ON position, the output is activated once in order to check if the fault remains. |
Checking the wiring harness
Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.
