On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:

Once per driving cycle.

Enable criteria:

The battery voltage must be over 11 V.
The fuel level is between 15% and 85%.
Engine temperature upon start is lower than 42°C.
The intake air temperature upon start is between 3.8 °C and 35 °C.
The difference between the engine and intake air temperature is lower than 6.8 °C.
Engine running for more than 600 s.
Atmospheric pressure more than 68 kPa.
Total distance covered more than 20 km when the control module is new.
Distance covered during this driving cycle more than 8100 m.
NONE of the following DTCs must be detected:
P0112, P0113
P0117, P0118
P0443, P0458, P0459
P0449, P0498, P0499
P0451, P0452, P0453
P0455

The diagnosis runs when the engine is shut off and the above conditions are met, plus when the ambient temperature is between 2 °C and 37 °C.
This diagnosis observes the pressure change in a closed tank up to 45 minutes (both valves closed).

Fault criteria:

An insufficient pressure change corresponds to a small leak, a hole of a diameter of 0.5 and greater.

Diagnostic help

Diagnosis regards:

A small leak of 0.5 and greater.
IMPORTANT
