Fault symptom

Memory functions not working

Output is switched off, tries however to activate the engine once each time the ignition is switched on.

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:

Immediately after a soft start is completed.

Enable criteria:

When seat operation is permitted.

Fault criteria:

Voltage on the control module output is below 6 ±0.2V.

System reaction to a fault:

No memory functions work
Output is switched off, tries however to activate the engine once each time the ignition is switched on.

Checking the wiring harness

Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.
