To remove |
1. |
Remove
Drive belt, auxiliary
.

2. |
Remove pipe, mass air flow sensor and hose from the turbo.
|
3. |
Remove the upper engine cover
|
4. |
Remove the turbo delivery pipe.
|
5. |
Raise the car.
|
6. |
Remove the turbo delivery pipe and the bolt securing the turbo delivery pipe to the AC compressor.
|
7. |
Lower the car to the floor.
|
8. |
Remove the turbo delivery pipe bolts on the front of the engine.
|
9. |
Remove the
battery cover
and radiator pipe.
|
10. |
Remove the upper radiator mounting from the radiator member.
|
11. |
Press forward the radiator and remove the turbo delivery pipe.
|
12. |
Clamp the supply hose with
30 07 739 Hose pinch-off pliers
.
|
13. |
Remove the delivery hose from the power steering pump, use
32 025 061 Special wrench
.
|
14. |
Remove the supply hose from the power steering pump.
|
15. |
Remove the power steering pump, press forward the radiator and lift out the pump.
|
To fit |
1. |
Fit the power steering pump.
Tightening torque 22 Nm (16 lbf ft) |
2. |
Fit the supply hose and remove the pliers.
|
3. |
Fit the delivery hose.
Tightening torque 30 Nm (22 lbf ft) |
4. |
Press forward the radiator and fit the turbo delivery pipe. (Do not fasten yet.)

5. |
Raise the car.
|
6. |
Fit the turbo delivery pipe to the AC compressor and connect the hose.
|
7. |
Lower the car to the floor.
|
8. |
Tighten the delivery pipe screws.
|
9. |
Fit the upper turbo delivery pipe.
|
10. |
Fit the radiator mountings.
|
11. |
Fit the pipe, mass air flow sensor and hose to the turbo.
|
12. |
Fit the upper engine cover.
|
13. |
Fit
Drive belt, auxiliary
.
|
14. |
Fit the radiator pipe and
battery cover
.
|
15. |
Fill with oil as specified and
bleed the power steering system
. Check for any leaks.
|
