Position the car in an aligning bench and cross-measure if necessary.

Grind the seam welds to the side panel.
|
|
| 3. |
Drill out the spot welds to the outside of the side panel.
|
|
| 4. |
Drill out the spot welds to the side panel.
|
|
| 5. |
Drill out the spot-welds.
|
|
| 6. |
Tap the side panel loose and remove the panel from the adhesive. Align any damaged sheet metal or panels.

Grind all the surfaces that are to be welded.
|
|
| 8. |
Drill all the holes for plug welding in the replacement panel.
|
|
| 9. |
Align the replacement panel and check the alignment. Adjust if necessary.
|
|
| 10. |
Lift aside the replacement panel.
|
|
| 11. |
Apply welding primer to the surfaces to be spot and plug welded. Use Teroson Zink Spray.
|
|
| 12. |
Apply body adhesive as illustrated. Use Teromix 6700.
|
|
| 13. |
Place the side panel into position. Align it exactly and secure it with welding clamps.
|
|
| 14. |
Spot and plug weld the outside of the side panel.
|
|
| 15. |
Seam weld the side panel.
|
|
| 16. |
Spot and plug weld the side panel.
|
|
| 17. |
Spot and plug weld the side panel.
|
|
| 18. |
Wash away surplus welding primer. Welding primer reduces the adhesion of paint, filler and sealant.
|

| 19. |
Apply primer to all bare metal surfaces. Use Standox 1K.
|
|
| 20. |
Seal joints and seams with sealant. Use 1K-PUR.
|
|
| 21. |
Apply anti-corrosion agent to internal surfaces after painting. Use Terotex HV 400.
|
|
