Removing, check



1. Remove the oil pump - see Oil pump, removing and fitting .

2. Remove the relief valve (1)and the oil pump cover (2) from the oil pump.

3. Check the difference in level between the pair of gear wheels with a feeler gauge (4) and a straight edge rule (3). Dim - 0.03 to 0.10 mm. Check the wear on the oil pump, the oil pump cover and the relief valve.


To fit


1. Fit the oil pump cover onto the oil pump - tightening torque 6 Nm. Fit the relief valve, together with a new sealing ring onto the oil pump - tightening torque 50 Nm.
