Oil pump sealing ring, change

To remove


1. Remove the timing belt. See Timing belt in-car Z19DT and Timing belt in-car Z19DTH respectively.

2. Remove the timing belt pulley. Use 32 025 006 Crankshaft holder in combination with 83 95 360 Holding tool, crankshaft pulley .

Note

The bolt has a left-hand thread.



3. Remove the oil pump sealing ring by prising it loose from the oil pump with a suitable tool. Make sure the sealing surfaces are not damaged.

4. Clean the sealing surfaces.


To fit


1. Moisten the sealing ring lip with a little silicone grease (white) and fit the oil pump sealing ring. Use 32 025 014 Oil pump seal fitting tool .


2. Fasten the belt pulley to 32 025 006 Crankshaft holder .

3. Fit the timing belt pulley. Use 32 025 006 Crankshaft holder in combination with 83 95 360 Holding tool, crankshaft pulley .

Tightening torque 340 Nm (251 lbf ft)

4. Remove the special tool.

5. Fit the timing belt. See Timing belt in-car Z19DT and Timing belt in-car Z19DTH respectively.

6. Check the engine oil level and top up as necessary. See Recommended oil grade .
