To remove |
1. |
Protect the wings with covers.
|
2. |
Remove the upper engine cover, insulation and battery cover.
|
3. |
Remove the battery negative cable.
|
4. |
Undo the crankcase ventilation pipe from the camshaft housing, remove the plug and fit
32 025 008 Camshaft fixing tool
.

5. |
Raise the car.
|
6. |
Remove the front right wheel.
|
7. |
Remove the right-hand wing liner.
|
8. |
Relieve the belt tensioner and lock with
87 92 335 Lock pin
. Remove the drive belt for the auxiliaries. Mark up the direction of rotation of the belt.

9. |
Remove the crankshaft pulley.
|
10. |
Turn round the engine until the tool engages and locks the exhaust camshaft.
|
11. |
Check that the crankshaft is zeroed by fitting

12. |
If the tool fits without having to turn the crankshaft then the timing belt is fitted correctly. If not, see

To fit |
1. |
Remove
32 025 009 Crankshaft fixing tool
.
|
2. |
Fit the crankshaft pulley.
Tightening torque 25 Nm (18 lbf ft) |
3. |
Fit the drive belt for the auxiliaries according to the marked direction of rotation.

4. |
Refit the right wing liner.
|
5. |
Fit the front right wheel.
|
6. |
Lower the car.
|
7. |
Remove tool

8. |
Fit the plug and crankcase ventilation pipe to the camshaft housing.
|
9. |
Fit the battery negative cable.
|
10. |
Fit the insulation, upper engine cover and battery cover.
|
