Warning

The exhaust pipe from the turbocharger can be extremely hot. Proceed with caution.

Important
|
The oxygen sensor cables must not be twisted. Twisted cables in combination with vibrations can lead to cable breaks.
|
The oxygen sensor is sensitive to knocks and jolts and must be handled with care.
|

|
Always use wing covers when working in the engine bay.

Remove the upper engine cover.
Important
|
Take care when releasing the locking mechanism on the connector so as not to damage the connector. Pull the halves straight apart to avoid bending the pins. For further information regarding connectors, refer to

|
Detach the lower oxygen sensor connector and remove the cable fixings.
|

|
Carefully press down the heat shield.
Important
|
Take care when plugging in the connector so as not to damage or press out the pins/sleeves in the connector. For further information regarding connectors, refer to

.

|
3.
|
Secure the cable and plug in the connector.
|
4.
|
Replace the upper engine cover.
|
5.
|
Remove the wing cover.
