Amplifier (354), 5D, Premium 150, Prestige 300

To remove


1. Carry out actions before removing control module .

2. Raise the luggage compartment floor.

3. Lift out the lower floor.

4. Remove Scuff plate, luggage compartment, 5D .

5. Remove the left rear side piece (A) using 84 71 203 Removal tool .


6. Remove the left side piece of the floor (B).

7. Remove the clip (C) of the foam block and lift out the foam block a bit.

Note

Raise the left side trim slightly to make it easier to lift out the foam block.


8. Remove the bracket nuts (A).


9. Lift out the amplifier and unplug the connectors (A).

Important

Take care when releasing the locking mechanism on the connector so as not to damage the connector. Pull the halves straight apart to avoid bending the pins. For further information regarding connectors, refer to Connectors, handling and inspection .



10. Remove the wiring harness cable tie from the bracket.

11. Turn the amplifier upside down and remove the bolts (A) from the bracket.



To fit


1. Fit the bolts (A) to the bracket.


2. Position the amplifier.

3. Fit the amplifier.


4. Plug the connectors (A) into the amplifier.

Important

Take care when plugging in the connector so as not to damage or press out the pins/sleeves in the connector. For further information regarding connectors, refer to Connectors, handling and inspection .



5. Fit the cable tie to the bracket.

6. Position the foam block and fit the clip (C).


7. Fit the cover of the left rear side piece (A).

8. Fit the left side piece of the floor (B).

9. Fit Scuff plate, luggage compartment, 5D .

10. Fit the lower floor.

11. Close the luggage compartment floor.

12. Carry out Procedure after control module replacement .

13. Check the function.
