Parking light LED does not work (ed 3)

The new LED based parking light can sometimes become deactivated by
the electrical centre (UEC). The very low current consumption in the parking
light in some conditions under the limit from what the UEC detects as an open/short
circuit thus the UEC will deactivate the output until the next time the engine
is started.
Parking light does not work.

This symptom may occur both with engine running or switched off.

One or both lights may be affected
|
•
|
This failure may be intermittent and the parking lights might
work at time of testing.
|
•
|
The rear parking lights are NOT affected by this issue.
|
Install a resistor to the parking light. Do NOT replace the headlight
Parts required
12784978 - wire and contact house
12784973 - resistor and contact house
Note!
Both part numbers are needed for each
headlamp but only repair the affected light

Remove the headlamp assembly from the car
|
2.
|
Install the resistor/wire to the contact house for headlamp (see
the wiring diagram below).
Note!
Place the resistor/wire so it does not
foul any moving part or can get trapped !

3.
|
Install the headlamp.
