Rear window wiper motor, 5D

To remove


1. Remove Tailgate trim .

2. Remove the wiper arm. Use 85 80 144 Puller, windscreen wiper arm .


Important

Take care when releasing the locking mechanism on the connector so as not to damage the connector. Pull the halves straight apart to avoid bending the pins. For further information regarding connectors, refer to Connectors, handling and inspection .


3. Remove the wiper motor bolts. Unplug the connector and lift out the wiper motor.



To fit

Important

Take care when plugging in the connector so as not to damage or press out the pins/sleeves in the connector. For further information regarding connectors, refer to Connectors, handling and inspection .



1. Put in place the wiper motor. Fit the wiper motor bolts and plug in the connector.


2. Check that the motor has stopped in parking position.

3. Fit the wiper arm. The wiper blade must lie between the markings on the rear window.

Tightening torque 20 Nm


4. Fit Tailgate trim .
