Replace


1. Remove the rear bumper shell .

2. Pull the cellular block loose from the bumper shell tongues.

3. Unplug the wiring harness connectors from all components.

4. Carefully remove the wiring harness without damaging cable ties, etc. that are to be refitted.

Important

Fasten the wiring harness correctly so that there is no risk of it chafing or rattling.


5. Lay out the new wiring harness the same as the old one and secure it in the same way.

Note

Spray all contact surfaces with “Contact 61” to avoid verdigris formation.


6. Plug in the connectors to the respective component. If in doubt, consult the wiring diagram/component list of the system in question.

7. Fit the cellular block by guiding it onto the bumper shell tongues. Press it into place.

8. Fit the rear bumper shell .
