Cars in stock must be rectified before delivery.
Cars already delivered must be rectified in connection with a scheduled visit to the garage for service or repairs.
Saab 9-3 M08-09 with all-wheel drive (XWD) within the Vehicle Identification Number range 81100049-91022109.
The filter in the differential clutch bleeder hose can be clogged by dirt which means that the ventilation is blocked. This may lead to water being mixed with oil and cause clutch stick-slip. This then affects the function of the XWD, and may ultimately cause damage.

Checking the modification identity plate (not US/CA)

Before proceeding, check box B1 of the modification identity plate. From and including M04, the car's Warranty and Service Book contains the "Table of Modifications". A modification identity plate must be fitted in accordance with the section "Fitting the modification identity plate" where local directives require the marking of the car. If the box is not marked, continue as follows.

Clean around the hose connection (A) to the differential clutch.
|
|
3.
|
Remove the clips with pipe (B) from the final drive gear housing.
|
|
4.
|
Remove the hose from the nipple (C).
|
|
5.
|
Fit the new clip (A) to the final drive gear housing.
|
|
6.
|
Fit the new hose to the nipple (B).
|
|
7.
|
Fit the hose to the clip (C).
|
|
Marking the modification identity plate (not US/CA)
|
After carrying out the procedure, box B1 on the modification identity plate must be marked. From and including M04 the car's Warranty and Service Book contains the "Table of Modifications". Mark the box with the number "7" if the procedure was carried out by the importer or with the number "8" if carried out by the dealer.
