       | 1. | Place the car on a lift. Make sure it is as level as possible. Engage P and apply the handbrake. If using a ramp, chock the wheels. Connect an exhaust extractor. Raise the car.

                          The oil can be very hot if the car was recently driven. Risk of burn injuries.

       | 2. | Place a receptacle under the car. Drain the transmission fluid through the drain plug. Remove the dipstick tube's plug first to allow access with an Allen key. 
 
   
 | 
     
    
   
   
    
     
      
       | 3. | Fit the drain plug with a new seal. Fit also the level plug. 
 Tightening torque, drain plug 45 Nm (33 lbf ft)

       | 4. | Lower the car to the floor. 
 
 | 
     
    
   
   
    
     
      
       | 5. | LHD:
        
        Remove the battery and the battery tray. 
 
 | 
     
    
   
   
    
   
   
    
   
   
    
     
      
       | 8. | LHD:
        
        Fit the battery tray and the battery. 
 
 | 
     
    
   
   
    
   
   
    
     
      
       | 10. | Lower the car to the floor. 
 
 | 
     
    
   
   
    
     
      
       | 11. | Disconnect Tech2 and the exhaust extractor.
