O-ring and sealing ring in seal retainer, left-hand

To remove


With gearbox or left drive shaft removed.


1. Undo the five screws on the seal retainer and remove the seal retainer. Keep shims, screws and the seal retainer in a safe place.

2. Press out the sealing ring with 87 91 311 Sleeve, driver shaft bearing and 87 92 236 Support, for fitting F35 speed gear .

3. Detach the O-ring with a small screwdriver or similar.



To fit


1. Press on the sealing ring to the bottom with 87 92 657 Fitting drift, drive shaft seals . Use 87 92 236 Support, for fitting F35 speed gear for support.


2. Lubricate a new O-ring and carefully fit it.


3. Fit the seal retainer and shims with the screws. Tighten alternately.

Tightening torque 22 Nm (16 lbf ft)
