Fitting wheel bolt protective caps during the pre-delivery service

This bulletin advises that wheel bolt protective caps must be fitted during the pre-delivery service and it takes effect immediately. Issue 2006-1 of WIS will contain this information.

Saab 9-3 from and including Vehicle Identification Number 61105370

Saab 9-5 from and including Vehicle Identification Number 63507708

Background

Protective caps must be fitted onto the wheel bolts during the pre-delivery service.

Parts required

The protective caps and removal tool are located in the glove box.

Procedure


1. Lubricate the screw heads with Vaseline or similar.


2. Fit the protective caps to the wheel bolts.

3. Place the removal tool in the glove box.
