Programming the key
Programming the key |
Keys to one car cannot be used for another car. If you have lost all the keys, the column integration module (CIM) must be replaced. For a detailed description, see key code .
Key teach-in is done as follows:
1. |
Connect the diagnostic tool.
|
2. |
Select
Diagnostics.
|
3. |
Select
Model Year(s) and
Vehicle Type(s).
|
4. |
Select
All -
Add / Remove -
Add Keys.
|
5. |
Follow the instructions on the screen.
|
Programming starts by deleting all the keys. New and previously used keys must then be programmed in one sequence. Programming applies to the transponder and the remote control. Up to 5 keys can be programmed with the current number being displayed on SID if the luggage compartment opening button on the remote control is pressed in when the ignition is "ON". The car must be stationary.
Note | ||
All keys must be programmed within 5 minutes. |
||
Never start new key programming before the first key programming is finished. Each programming process always takes 5 minutes. |
