BACKGROUND |
Customer complaints on visible ringshaped grease marks on the windscreen or other windows.
CONDITIONS |
Marks are most visible when sun is standing low in front of the car.
SYMPTOM DESCRIPTION |
The suction holders that are used in assembly shop might leave these ring marks that are hard to clean away.
ACTION |
Explain the marks for the customer and tell him that they will disappear over time but it can take some time before they disappear totally. If this is not acceptable for the customer, continue like this:
Grease marks / small scratches or stone chip marks (slightly blasted):
If you have ceric oxide as a fluant solution take a suitable amount in a smooth clean cloth and polish parts of or complete windscreen.
If you don't have this solution available you can also use the normal house hold product that is used for polishing ceramic top of the stove.
For bigger marks you may use ceramic oxide in powder form, wet the windscreen and polish it with a polishing machine.
You can also contact your local windscreen dealer for assistance if necessary.
