The heated rear window is activated manually by pressing a button on the ACC panel or automatically by the ACC. The heated rear window and door mirrors are activated provided the car's engine is running (s as not to discharge the battery). The rear window is normally heated for 12 minutes via current passing through its heating wires. The rear window is then heated by current passing through the antenna amplifier being led back to the rear window heating wires and being grounded via an antenna filter. The heating wires are used as an antenna for the audio system.
