Continous oil leak when mounting spare part hydraulic cylinders

Saab 9-3 (9440) CV.
Reports from market on oil leak when replacing hydraulic cylinders for
the soft top.
O-rings are not removed from the spare part cylinder when it is taken
out of the stock to be used in the repair.
Oil leak at the hose connections.

Prepare the cylinder for fitting. Remove retaining clips and extract
the blind plug with a pair of pliers.
|
2.
|
Check the connection bore profile on the cylinder, if all the
o-rings from the blind plugs are removed, if not remove these with a not sharp
pin (E).

3.
|
Check hydraulic lines inclusive o-rings on cleanliness and damage.
Exchange the o-rings if damaged or have suspected damage.
|
4.
|
Mount the o-ring on the hose elbow (F) and push the elbow in a
straight line into the cylinder.
|
5.
|
Slide the hydraulic line retaining clips in the locked position
(G).
|
6.
|
Fit the hydraulic cylinder into the roof mechanism.
|
7.
|
Connect the electric connector.
|
8.
|
Close the manual release spindle and check the oil level, top
up if needed.
|
9.
|
The system is a closed system and will self-bleed in normal use.
Make 3 complete cycles and check the function. Make sure that there are no
oil leaks.

10.
|
Check the oil level and top up if needed.
