Saab 9-3 SS/SC M08 - M10 up to A1610379.

BACKGROUND

Squeaking noise from the seat chassis on electrically operated front seats.

CONDITIONS

The noise comes from the riveted joints and torsion spring bushings.

ACTION

To solve this issue please follow the steps below. It is very important that the 2 bushings and the 4 joints are lubricated for the best possible result.

Take care when lubricating not to spill any of the lubricant on carpets or seat covers.

The recommended lubricant can be ordered direct from the supplier Kluber GB Ltd

Lubricate rivet joints as shown.


Use a mirror to see torsion bushing - lubricate.


Lubricate Mounting.


To be able to grease the inner bushing remove the cover under the air outlet.


1. Disassemble the two screws for the side cover.

2. The bushing is clearly visible to spray the grease.


3. Remove the plastic cover under the air outlet


4. Lubricate outer bushing then reassemble all parts in reverse order


5. Test seat to ensure noise has gone before returning vehicle to customer
