It is very important to observe maximum cleanliness when working on the differential clutch. Dirt particles can seriously damage the function and service life of the differential clutch. |

To remove |
1. |
Raise the car.
|
2. |
Remove
the exhaust system
.
|
3. |
Remove
propeller shaft
.
|
4. |
Release the catches (A) from the control module and remove the protective cover (B) from the hydraulic pump.
|
5. |
Loosen the cable clip (A)
|
6. |
Remove the electrical connector (A).
|
7. |
Use a column jack as support for the differential clutch. Secured with straps (A).
|
8. |
Remove the bolts (B) to the differential clutch and limited slip differential.
|
9. |
Lower the differential clutch and limited slip differential so far that the cover can be removed, exercise care that drive shaft universal joints are not damaged.
|
10. |
Place a receptacle under the differential clutch.
|
11. |
Loosen the purge hose (A) from the cover.
|
12. |
Remove the cover (B).
|
To fit |
1. |
Wash the cover.
|
2. |
Fit the cover (B) with a new gasket. Tighten the bolts alternately.
Tightening torque 5.7 Nm (4.2 lbf ft) |
3. |
Fill with new oil. See
Check/change of oil in the differential clutch

4. |
Connect the purge hose (A) to the cover.
|
5. |
Raise the differential clutch and limited slip differential.
|
6. |
Fit the bolts (B) to the differential clutch and limited slip differential.
Tightening torque: 90 Nm (66.4 lbf ft) + 90°+15° |
7. |
Dismantle the strap (A).

8. |
Fit the electrical connector (A).
|
9. |
Fit the cable clip (A).
|
10. |
Fit the protective cover (A) on the hydraulic pump and lock the catches (B) to the control module.

Fit
propeller shaft

Fit
the exhaust system

13. |
Check the oil level in the differential clutch. See

14. |
Lower the car to the floor.
