Vacuum pipe to vacuum pump, B284

To remove


1. Raise the car.

2. Remove the front bolts of the right wheel arch liner.


3. Fold down the hatch on the right spoiler shield.

4. Detach the vacuum hose from the vacuum pump.


5. Lower the car.

6. Remove the bolts and the air filter cover.


7. Remove the air filter and the lower part of the air filter.

Important

Be careful of the electrical connection to the brake vacuum valve.



8. Detach the electrical connection of the vacuum valve.


9. Detach the vacuum pipe at the joint on the bulkhead.

10. Remove the vacuum pipe.


To fit


1. Position the vacuum pipe at the air filter's intake manifold.


2. Fit the rubber grommet in the plate groove.

3. Attach the electrical connection of the vacuum valve.

4. Attach the vacuum pipe at the joint on the bulkhead.

5. Fit the lower part of the air filter housing.

Important

Be careful of the electrical connection to the brake vacuum valve.



6. Fit the air filter and its cover. Tighten the hose clamp and the bolts.


7. Raise the car.

8. Fit the vacuum hose to the vacuum pump.


9. Fit the front bolts of the right wheel arch liner.


10. Lower the car.

11. Check the functionality of the vacuum pump.
