Power steering fluid reservoir, B284

Remove the oil filler cap and the engine cover.
Refit the oil filler cap.
Note
|
Place ample cloth/paper under the reservoir to capture any oil spill. Loosen the hose and fold it up, plug the reservoir using an appropriate plug (approx. 12-13 mm).
|
|
2.
|
Drain the power steering fluid reservoir (A) using suitable oil drainage equipment.
|
3.
|
Remove the hoses and brackets:
|
|
•
|
Unhook the fuel pipe (B) from the power steering fluid reservoir and move to one side.
|
|
•
|
Unhook the vacuum hose (C) from the brackets.
|
|
•
|
Certain cars
: Undo the rubber bracket for the wiring harness from the knob.
|
4.
|
Undo the hose clips and screws:
|
|
•
|
Remove the screw (D) for the power steering fluid reservoir.
|
|
•
|
Undo the delivery line from the clips
|
|
•
|
Undo the hose clips for the delivery (E) and return lines and move them back on the hose.
|
5.
|
Undo the hoses and reservoir:
|
|
•
|
Undo the delivery (E) and return hoses.
|
|
•
|
Lift away the power steering fluid reservoir.
|

Fit the power steering fluid reservoir:
|
|
•
|
Position the power steering fluid reservoir and fit the hoses.
|
|
•
|
Fit the hose clips to the delivery (E) and return lines.
|
|
•
|
Fit the screw (D) for the power steering fluid reservoir
|
|
•
|
Attach the delivery line to the clip.
|
2.
|
Fit the hoses and brackets:
|
|
•
|
Fit the vacuum hose (C).
|
|
•
|
Hook the fuel pipe (B) onto the power steering fluid reservoir.
|
|
•
|
Certain cars
: Fit the rubber bracket for the wiring harness to the knob.
|
4.
|
Remove the cloth/paper and wipe up any oil spill.
|
5.
|
Remove the oil filler cap. Fit the engine cover. Refit the oil filler cap.
