Position the car in an aligning bench and cross-measure if necessary.
|
2.
|
Drill out the spot welds securing the bracket to the subframe reinforcement.
|
3.
|
Tap the bracket loose and align any damaged sheet metal or panels.
|
4.
|
Grind all the surfaces that are to be welded.
|
5.
|
Drill holes for spot welding in the new bracket.
|
6.
|
Apply welding primer to the surfaces to be spot and plug welded. Use Teroson Zink Spray.
|
7.
|
Place the bracket in fitting position, align it exactly and secure it.
|
8.
|
Plug weld the bracket.
|
9.
|
Wash away surplus welding primer. Welding primer reduces the adhesion of paint, filler and sealant.
|
10.
|
Apply primer to all bare metal surfaces. Use Standox 1K.
|
11.
|
Seal joints and seams with sealant. Use 1K-PUR.
|
12.
|
Apply anti-corrosion agent to internal surfaces after painting. Use Terotex HV 40.
