On-board diagnosis
Type of diagnosis:
Enable criteria:
General conditions for this DTC |
• | Battery voltage must be between 10 - 18 V. |
NONE of the following DTCs must be detected: |
• | P0112, P0113, P0117, P0118, U0122 |
• | Engine speed more than 25 rpm for more than 5 seconds. |
• | Vehicle speed over 40 km/h |
• | Coolant temperature upon start between -30°C and 140°C. |
• | Coolant temperature above -30°C the last time the engine was switched off. |
• | Drive with a partial load (air mass 28 - 138 g/s) at over 45 km/h on 3 occasions and at idle speed on 3 occasions. |
Fault criteria:
• | When the signal on the control module input corresponds to a temperature greater than 100°C for more than 5 seconds. |
• | Too great a difference between intake air temperature and coolant temperature. |
Temperature has not changed more than 2.3°C. |
OK report:
• | Fault criteria above NOT fulfilled. |
Fault handling:
(See section Fault handling III, "Other emission-related components and functions" for more information.) |
Checking the wiring harness
Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.
